Dr. Nadia Alwasiah is a Consultant in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Hope AMC Dubai. She is dual board-certified by the American Board of PM&R and the American Board of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from King Abdulaziz University.
She completed her PM&R residency at Tufts Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine. She then completed a Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
Her expertise includes pediatric and adult rehabilitation in both inpatient and outpatient care. She treats cerebral palsy and other childhood-onset motor disorders. She also manages stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury. She cares for muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders. She treats congenital and acquired impairments and youth sports injuries. Her procedures include joint and trigger-point injections. She provides botulinum toxin for spasticity and salivary control. She performs ultrasound- or electrically guided injections and motor phenol nerve blocks. She manages baclofen pumps. She also recommends orthotics and prosthetics.
