How Much Does Laser Hair Removal Cost in Turkey?

Laser hair removal in Turkey typically costs from $100 to $200 depending on the technology and surface area. Major medical hubs include Istanbul, Antalya, and Ankara. In the US, patients typically pay $400 on average for similar treatments. Turkey offers savings of around 50%. Clinical packages often include professional consultations and language assistance for international patients.

  • Full body sessions: Typically range from $150 to $375 per single visit.
  • Small areas: Includes upper lip or chin, usually costing between $7 and $25.
  • Medium areas: Covers arms or lower legs, often priced from $15 to $45.
  • Advanced technologies: Diode and Alexandrite lasers may add a 20-30% premium over standard sessions.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a dermatologist-supervised clinic ensures safety and better results for sensitive skin. For instance, Quartz Clinique offers specialized sessions for approximately $200. This facility is ISAPS-certified and attracts 6,500 patients annually. Paying slightly more for a specialist like Dr. Tugba Doruk provides expert oversight. This is often more valuable than the cheapest available options in smaller cities.

Laser Hair Removal in Turkey: Your Travel Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Turkey
  • Upon landing in Turkey, you should ensure you have all necessary documents and details for your scheduled laser hair removal sessions.
  • Check into your accommodation and get settled. You need to rest and hydrate after your flight.
  • Review the pre-procedure instructions provided by your clinic. If your treatment involves the Alexandrite device, shave the area 3 days prior. Shave 1 day before if using the Ice laser device.
  • If you are on any medication, especially for skin conditions, consult with a specialist to ensure it's safe to proceed with laser hair removal.
  • Avoid sun exposure and do not tan the areas to be treated to prevent skin spots.
Day 2: Pre-Procedure Preparation
  • Continue to avoid sun exposure. Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 if necessary.
  • Do not use any hair bleaching products or cosmetic treatments on the areas to be treated.
  • If you have tattoos in the treatment area, inform the clinic. Laser treatment cannot be applied on tattoos.
  • For sensitive skin, consider applying a pain reliever cream at least 1 hour before the session.
  • Contact your clinic if you have any last-minute questions or concerns. Many clinics, like SALUSS Medical Group, offer 24/7 support.
Day 3: Laser Hair Removal Session
  • Attend your scheduled appointment at the clinic. Ensure you have followed all pre-procedure instructions, such as shaving the area if required.
  • The procedure will use technologies like the diode-ice laser or Soprano Ice Titanium. These are known for being painless and effective on various skin types.
  • Expect the session to be relatively quick. Technologies like the SHR and "in motion" techniques ensure full coverage.
  • After the procedure, avoid taking a shower for 1 day to allow the skin to settle.
  • Refrain from applying any irritating products, such as peels or scrubs, for at least 1 week.
Day 4-5: Post-Procedure Care
  • Monitor the treated area for any rashes or irritation. These should subside within 1 day.
  • Continue to avoid sun exposure on the treated areas for at least 3 days post-procedure.
  • Moisturize the treated areas regularly, especially if you have dry skin. This aids the shedding process of burned hair follicles.
  • Expect hair to fall out naturally within 3 to 15 days post-treatment. It may take longer for those with dry skin.
  • Resume routine activities but be mindful of the treated areas.
Day 6: Follow-Up and Additional Sessions
  • Contact the clinic if you have any concerns or questions about the healing process or results.
  • Plan for your next session in 20-30 days. Regular attendance is crucial for optimal results.
  • Ensure to maintain the same pre and post-procedure care routine for subsequent sessions.
  • Consider scheduling sessions during the winter months to minimize sun exposure risks.
Day 7: Departure and Return Home
  • Before leaving Turkey, ensure all your sessions are scheduled and any concerns have been addressed by the clinic.
  • Follow through with the post-care routine even after returning home to maintain the benefits of the treatment.
  • Keep in touch with the clinic for any follow-up questions or to schedule future sessions if needed.

My hair transplant experience in Turkey at Quartz Clinic Ahlem raddaoui was excellent — great medical service and professional staff
My hair transplant experience in Turkey at Quartz Clinic Ahlem raddaoui was excellent — great medical service and professional staff. The only thing that could be improved is communication. They say support is available 24/7 via WhatsApp, but in reality, it seems there are specific hours when responses are quicker. It would help to know the real support hours. Overall, very positive experience — just make sure you can communicate in English (or Turkish), otherwise it might be a bit tricky... I recommand

I was punctual, but had to wait for 20 min for the therapist. The procedure was done in his street clothing, under unhygienic conditions and without protective eye glasses. A full body depilation treatment lasted not even 40 minutes. I had to instruct the therapist of what to do, but in the end just couldn’t wait for it to be over. I considered the treatment a scam. I would never do this again at that center.

FAQ about Laser Hair Removal in Turkey

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

How many sessions are needed for laser hair removal in Turkey?

Most patients require 6 to 10 sessions to achieve long-lasting results. While standard areas typically need 6 to 8 visits, stubborn or hormonal zones often require 10 to 12 sessions. Treatments occur at 4 to 8-week intervals to match growth cycles.

  • Treatment range: Standard hair reduction usually requires 6 to 8 sessions per area.
  • Hormonal areas: Zones like the bikini line often need 10 to 12 sessions.
  • Session duration: A medical-grade full body session typically lasts around 40 minutes.
  • Maintenance needs: Annual maintenance touch-ups are recommended to sustain permanent hair reduction.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Laser hair removal in Turkey is often cheaper than in the US, where it costs $400. You can save 50% at JCI-accredited centers like Medical Park Göztepe, which serves over 200,000 patients every year.

Patient Consensus: Expect to plan for 8 to 12 sessions for full-body results. Success depends on using medical-grade lasers like Alexandrite or Candela rather than standard salon devices.

What technologies are used in Turkey?

Turkish clinics utilize advanced laser technologies including Alexandrite, Diode, and Nd:YAG systems to provide high-precision hair removal. Specialized centers like Quartz Hospital feature high-end devices such as the Candela GentleMax, which combines dual-wavelength lasers to safely treat various skin tones and hair textures with integrated cooling systems.

  • Laser types: Alexandrite 755nm and Nd:YAG 1064nm offer versatility for light and dark skin.
  • Advanced devices: Candela GentleMax Pro provides dual-wavelength photothermolysis for faster, more efficient body sessions.
  • Safety protocols: Laser systems use integrated cooling technology to minimize discomfort and protect the skin surface.
  • Medical standards: Major hospitals like Medical Park Göztepe maintain Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation standards.

Bookimed Expert Insight: The most effective results in Turkey come from clinics using dual-wavelength systems like the Candela GentleMax. These devices allow surgeons to switch between wavelengths in one session. This flexibility is vital because hair thickness changes throughout the treatment cycle, ensuring better long-term clearance than single-laser setups.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize confirming the specific device model beforehand to avoid less effective IPL treatments. Many travelers appreciate that full-body sessions are remarkably efficient, often completed in under 40 minutes.

Do clinics in Turkey offer packages for international patients?

Turkish clinics offer all-inclusive packages for international patients, primarily bundling medical fees, 4-star or 5-star hotel accommodations, and private airport transfers. Facilities like Adem and Havva Medical Center or Memorial Antalya Hospital provide dedicated personal coordinators and multi-language interpreters to ensure a seamless medical journey.

  • Travel logistics: Packages frequently include VIP transfers between the Istanbul airport, hotel, and medical facility.
  • Accommodation standards: Most international plans bundle 3 to 5 nights in partner 4-star luxury hotels.
  • Language support: Leading hospitals provide free interpreters in over 15 languages, including English and Italian.
  • Surgical inclusions: Comprehensive surgical bundles cover anesthesia, preoperative blood tests, and initial post-operative follow-up care.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While surgical procedures like hair transplants or rhinoplasty feature robust all-inclusive bundles, outpatient treatments like laser hair removal rarely include hotels. For non-surgical aesthetics, focus on clinics like Quartz Hospital or Hisar Hospital. These facilities offer high patient volumes and advanced technology without the premium cost of a surgery-style travel bundle.

Patient Consensus: Patients value the efficiency of pre-arranged transport, though some suggest confirming the specific support hours for coordinators. Most find that the medical quality and professional staff exceed expectations when compared to Western costs.

What are the main locations in Turkey for laser hair removal?

Major hubs for laser hair removal in Turkey are concentrated in Istanbul and Antalya. These cities host Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited facilities using advanced Soprano, Alexandrite, and Candela technologies. Specialist dermatologists in neighborhoods like Şişli and Nişantaşı provide medically supervised treatments in certified clinical settings.

  • Istanbul medical hubs: Clinics are densely located in the Şişli, Nişantaşı, and Kadıköy districts.
  • Antalya clinical centers: Top medical facilities provide laser services near Muratpaşa and coastal hospital complexes.
  • Hospital-based safety: Major groups like Medical Park offer laser therapy within multicenter hospital environments.
  • Certified technology: Facilities utilize authentic Candela and Soprano devices verified by official manufacturer portals.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Bookimed data shows a clear quality gap between general beauty salons and hospital-based clinics like Quartz Hospital or Memorial Antalya. Patients booking through medical centers benefit from dermatologist supervision by experts such as Dr. Makbule Dundar. These clinical settings ensure safety protocols that smaller salons often lack.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize choosing registered medical clinics over salons to ensure effective results. Verified reviews highlight that clinical environments avoid the risks of skin damage associated with unauthorized IPL devices.
