He has been a resident at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Vienna since 1999 and has taught ophthalmology and practical ophthalmology at various institutions. He has been awarded the "Theodor-Koerner Science Price" in 2003 and is a member of the DGII and ESCRS.

Stefan Sacu, MD, has been a resident at the Department of Ophthalmology, Medical University of Vienna, since 1999. His research interests include cataract surgery and PCO retina and macula. He taught ophthalmology to the nursing staff from 2003 -2004 at the Kaiserin- Elisabeth-Hospital,Vienna,and since 2001, he has taught practical ophthalmology for medical students at the Medical University of Vienna. His awards include the May 2003 “Theodor-Koerner Science Price”. Dr. Sacu is a member of the DGII (German Speaking Society of Intraocular Lens Implantation) and ESCRS (European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons)
