Overall, we are pleased with both the trip and the attitude of the medical staff towards us
I really liked the entire organization of my treatment, starting with the search and offer of a clinic, the organization and coordination of the trip itself. The coordinator from Bookimed, Tatyana, was always in touch and answered all our questions on time. Upon arrival at the airport, we missed (through no fault of our own) the taxi that was supposed to take us to our already reserved hotel. But Tatyana was able to coordinate all the actions so that we easily got to the hotel. Later we called our medical coordinator from the “Veni Vidi” clinic, Olga, who was in touch with us all the time, both during the consultation with Dr. Firat HELVACIOGLU, and during treatment (keratoconus). Olga was ready to translate our conversation (Turkish-Russian languages) with the doctor, but since Doctor Firat speaks excellent English, in which it was more convenient for me to communicate, there was no need for translation. Overall, we are pleased with both the trip and the attitude of the medical staff towards us. We express our gratitude for all this to both Tatyana and Olga. The clinic has a welcoming atmosphere, but the wait for each appointment and an interpreter is sooo long. Doctor A. Ozkaya proved himself to be a professional, answered all our questions, the corneal transplant operation for my one-year-old child was rather quick and effective at the moment. I planned the trip on my own, buying into advertising, and specially came from another country. There were few patients, but the service was very slow; I waited for an hour at each office. I went in at 10 am, left at 4:30 pm, and had an appointment with the doctors in advance + I adjusted to their schedule due to their travel. The service is disgusting, the staff is indifferent and I had to raise my voice several times to get attention. I paid over $1000 to wait for hours (!) and left with mixed feelings

I had an extremely frustrating experience at the hospital . None of the staff spoke English, which made it nearly impossible to communicate my concerns and questions. To make matters worse, they refused to accept card payments, and instead, they provided third-party payment details, which raised a huge financial red flag for me. To add insult to injury, I was required to pay a deposit of $200 in cash, which I later found out was non-refundable. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. It left me feeling both financially and emotionally distressed, and I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. Clear communication and fair payment practices are fundamental aspects of any healthcare facility, and this hospital failed miserably in both regards. In addition to the communication and payment issues, I must mention that the hospital was located in a completely unsuitable area for tourists. This made the overall experience even more distressing. Visitors to a foreign country expect medical facilities to be accessible and accommodating, but this hospital was situated in a place that made it extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable for travelers. It's an important factor to consider for anyone planning to visit the area and needing medical care.
