For surgical treatment of brain cancer in children, minimally invasive methods are used in San Joan Hospital. Endoscopic and microsurgical operations are conducted on brain under control of neuronavigation. During a removal of malignant tumor, magnetic resonance map of little patient’s brain is applied. This map allows neurosurgeons detecting a localization of tumor and tracking moving of instruments. With neuronavigation it is possible to completely remove a brain tumor.
